Psalm 18:1-3

"I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies." Psalm 18:1-3

This is a great verse that encourages me in troubled times and just lets me know that God is always there. It's good to know that no matter what, God is there and He will take care of things. Jesus Christ will be our deliverer and save us from our enemies, but only if we let Him. We have to surrender everything we own physical and spiritually, for Him to be able to be our savior. God will not let us down as others do around us, that is why we must put our trust in Christ and not people. He will be our friend when we are at war against the world and He will be our fortress and shelter when trouble comes our way. It is He and He alone I trust my life with and you should too.

Psalm 119:11

"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you"
Psalm 119:11

What a great verse to remember and live by, if only we would live by it. We must read and memorize scripture if we are going to get through this spiritual war. Not only will it help when you are telling others about Christ, but also through Christ you will be able to conquer the temptations that the devil's demons throw at you. That's what it means when it says "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you". Because if we know God's law and His Word we are not going to want to sin or have anything to do with sin. Our minds will be pure and we will have understandings that others just don't have, because they are not in His Word, which makes them deceived. We will start to see through the lies when we pick up God's Word and dig in. God's Word is like our map or instructions for life and without it we will start to believe the world side of things and not God's. We will not have that understanding and won't be able to see through the lies that are put out by the world. This is why we need to hide God's word in our heart and use daily in our life.

Psalm 32:1-2

"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sin are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit." Psalm 32:1-2

All I can say is wow! We are wretched sinners against the Creator of the universe and yet we can be blessed with our sins forgiven and forgotten. That shows right there, that God the Creator of Heaven and earth is a loving and merciful God. We should die to ourselves everyday because we are so unworthy to live a life for us. Everything we do, say, and live for, should be for God and Him only. Do we really live like that, No! Nobody lives their life for God 24/7. We need to get in His Word and meditate on it, study it, and keep it in our hearts so that we can serve Him 24/7. Scripture says that "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:11.

Psalm 7:10-11

"My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses his wrath every day." Psalm 7:10-11

We as Christians do not need to fear anything for God is our shield. He will be our shepherd as we are his sheep. He is our shield, but he is a Just God and must judge those who are not righteous. God does express his wrath everyday and punishes those who disobey. God is God and he will judge those who need to be judge and forgive those who repent.

Psalm 1:1-2

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night." Psalm 1:1-2

Blessed are those who do not turn to their sin, but turn away from their sin. God will bless you when you turn away from your sin. We need to start hating our sin and loving God. We really need to start delighting in the law of the Lord and not just say we love it. We need to like it and enjoy it, as well as obey it. We don't need to read it and go on our way. We need to meditate on it and study it, learn what it says and follow what it says. We need to flee evil and run to Christ.

Psalm 4:2

"How long, O men will you turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and false gods?" Psalm 4:2

How long will we put God to shame? How long will we love the lies satan put has put out into the world? We say we love God, yet we keep sinning. Sinning against God is the same thing as spitting in the bloody face of Christ who took on our sin, to save us from God's wrath. Why can't we as believers see that, how long until we do something about it. We sit there and say we love God and yet we go watch a movie with the very things He hates. We can only love one, if we love the world then we hate God. If we love God then we hate the world. It's your choice, will you stand up and love the God who loves you and can spend eterity with Him. Or will you stay comfertable, loving the world and spend your eterity seprated from God in hell.
